British Flowers Week

This week New Covent Garden has been celebrating British Flowers Week. Well known florists have been featuring daily, creating arrangements with some of the best of British flowers available right now including peonies and delphiniums. There has even been a day focussing on arrangements that can be made purely from British foliage. You can take a look at their website to see what has been going on, as well as a gallery of floral arrangements submitted by florists from across the country, featuring of course Churchtown Farm!

Celebrating British Flowers week has also been the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate the start of our pinks season in full.

We always like an excuse to get creative and this week, joining in with the events at New Convent Garden Market, our talented florist Steph has created this stunning arrangement.

The heart wreath is made from entirely island grown flowers and foliage including alder, bramble, honeysuckle, aeonium and pinks.

As well as our scented pinks, Steph’s top rated scented flowers in season right now include Sweet Peas, Sweet Williams and Stocks. Whilst these flowers won’t post very well they are perfect for growing in your garden and perhaps we have provided some inspiration to make an arrangement of your very own!
